LAB (aka Renato Moreira) is a native of Lisbon, Portugal. Renato came into the world of electronic music world in 1998, at the age of 24, first producing on Rebirth 1.0. By 2000, he had evolved towards using a number of other packages including FL Studio and Ableton Live. With these new tools, he worked on breakbeats, downtempo and house music before turning to the more psychedelic frequencies of psystomp in his independent project LAB.

LAB’s music is unique in that it speaks to lovers of darkpsy, psystomp, full-on and even progressive trance. While fast-paced with full grooves and warm beats, LAB’s music also contains futuristic ambiances and powerful, twisting leads – putting him squarely in the realm of morning psystomp with uplifting soundscapes and psychedelic melody lines.

LAB’s first live appearance was in 2005, and he has released tracks on several labels. Now, LAB is working on new sounds and new performances to share worldwide in the coming year.
